Rejoice ! For the Church of the Holy Brick is here . Called Abondantus Gigantus , it was built in 2011 around a 65 - foot ( 20 - meter ) spire for the Grenswerk Festival , in the town of Enschede , Netherlands .
The church was not really a church . Although a volume was lionise there at one point , it was created as a public locale design to keep all sorts of things , from town meeting to raves to Lego building contests .
The steeple and all its structure except the roof were construct using concrete blocks similar to Lego or Duplo brick . They were paint in the same five basal Lego colors that the Danish manufacturing business uses on its canonical readiness .

After the festival ended , the construction was disassembled and the stoppage were safely stored . They will be reused in a new eccentric of building in the 2012 variation of the festival .
