Just as the United States is the only loaded country in the human race thatdoesn’t guarantee pay maternity leave of absence , it ’s also the only one that does n’t have federally guaranteed paid vacation time . Which is perhaps just one reason why fewer and few people today are taking vacations than they did two generation ago . The other intellect ? We plainly do n’t have a culture that values vacation any longer .
Back in 1976 , roughly80 percent of Americanstook a hebdomad ’s vacation . But here in 2014 , just 56 percent will . Despite the lack of federal jurisprudence , most Americans work full time do have the option to take some pay vacation time . The trouble for these masses seems to be a cultural one . By taking all of your vacation Day , you ’re date as lazy or unmotivated . And your ability to get promoted or earn more money is lessen .
