In this scene , Marceline has been cured of vampirism AND she ’s killed the super - vamps who came back to life after her vampire essence was released into the man . But now the essence of the most powerful , terrifying vampire of all has become a huge drab swarm , and Marceline feels like it ’s all her geological fault . The creatures getting suck up up into that horrible swarm is even scarier as a series of sketches , for some reason .
