Abigail Breslin Accuses Aaron Eckhart of Being Aggressive on Set, New Lawsuit Reveals

Dream Team Studios and WM Holdings are claiming that Breslin, 27, made “wild, hysterical and imaginary allegations against Eckhart,” 55, which they say forced production to spend $80,000 in accommodations.

A representative and attorneys for Eckhart did not immediately respond to PEOPLE’s requests for comment on Monday.

“The entire production almost ground to a halt when Breslin advised the production of Eckhart’s of aggressive. demeaning, and unprofessional behavior, which she insisted placed her at various times in peril,” the lawsuit states.

Per asynopsis on IMDb, the movie follow’s Eckhart’s character Evan Shaw, “who’s been solely using the classified section of various newspapers to receive his orders” and “suddenly learns from his estranged daughter that his division’s actually been shut down for years.”

Breslin has been candid in the past about some of her more difficult personal experiences, having opened up abouta previous abusive relationshipin honor ofDomestic Violence Awareness Month.

In a response to one fan who thanked her for sharing her story, theScream Queensalum said in October 2022, “Being open and honest is part of my healing journey as well.”

“Iwouldn’t wish on my worst enemywhat I went through,” she added. “People like yourself, who are supportive and kind, helps an incredible amount. Thank you!”

TheStillwateractress also encouraged another fan who spoke about hoping that “someday [they] can trust someone enough again to try a new relationship,” telling the fan, “You will get there! I promise!”

“I know it’s hard to imagine. Trust takes time,” Breslin continued. “I’vefound being open and honestwith my partner about my triggers/fears/concerns is really helpful. And therapy!”
