Hot on the heels of the first trailer , Ad Astra ’s mo has drip , promising lots of Brad Pitt inspace , as he hunts his mayhap nefarious father and deals with the existential terror of the unnamed ahead of him .
Lighter on patch particular than the first face we ascertain , this trailer explores the kinship between astronaut Roy McBride ( Pitt ) and his father , played by Tommy Lee Jones — both astronauts , both well well-thought-of in their fields . Now , one is missing , dare to be a scourge to the stability of the entire solar organization , and it ’s up to his son to witness him .
The trailer here trade in ambience , threaten shots of space , and just little hint of action thrown in . It ’s a compelling look , more engrossing than thefirst , leaning into the brooding Apocalypse Now vibes that director James Gray , whobased the storyon Heart of Darkness , clearly wants to tap into .
