Amazon is in hot water again over the one thousand of defective and potentially wild products sold on its website . Today , the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission ( CPSC)filed a complaintagainst the fellowship in a bid to draw the retail merchant to call back such item .
Specifically , the consumer safety governor pointed to 24,000 faulty carbon monoxide detectors , flammable children ’s pajamas , and 40,000 hairdryers sell without protection against shock and burning . The CPSC said in astatementthat since these products perplex a risk of serious injury or death , Amazon is legally creditworthy to recall them . The charge , which was okay in a 3 - 1 voting , calls on the retail merchant to stop sell these products , work with the CPSC to enact a recall and right away notify customers , and offer up a full repayment .
