The broadcasters’romance became public knowledgein November 2022 as photos of them cozying up together surfaced. At the time, Robach had not confirmed her separation from Shue, nor Holmes from Fiebig.

On Dec. 5, 2022, Robach and Holmes were“temporarily” removedfrom the daytime television program. The following month, it was officially announced that theywould not be returningto their roles at ABC News as a result ofthe company’s investigation into their romance.
On Tuesday’s debut episode of iHeartRadio’sAmy & T.J. Podcast, the couple cleared up the timeline of their romance and revealed thatthey had each had been living separately from their estranged spousesprior to pursuing a romantic relationship with each other.

According to Holmes, “November 30, 2022, was the day that we were, and this is very important we were outed…. To be clear, we were outed as being in a relationship, but everyone else thought we were being outed as adulterers — being outed as cheating on our spouses — and it wasn’t the case because the odd thing is, the day those pictures were taken and the day that article was released, we both at that point were in divorce proceedings."
Added Robach, 50: “Yes, we had attorneys, mediators. We were in the middle of divorces.”

Holmes continued, “We shouldn’t have allowed — [and] I can say that in hindsight — for folks to find out about our relationship before they found out about our divorces." The couple noted that they had already prepared a draft statement “which [was] never released” on Nov. 30 about the news of their divorces and current relationship.
“We thought we were protecting our children and our families,” said Robach. “And we thought we had time and we thought we had a right to privacy and maybe that was foolish and silly?”

Holmes and Fiebig, 44,settled their divorcein December 2022, just weeks after news of his and Robach’s relationship went public. Robach also finalized her divorce with Shue, 56, in March, perPage Six.
Over the course of the last year, Robach and Holmes havebecome more comfortable showcasing their relationshipin public, with many of their romantic outings occurring bothat homeandabroad. Over the weekend, Robach and Holmesmade their red carpet debut as a coupleat iHeartRadio’s Jingle Ball 2023.
