The idea of an empty urban center is sort of at the same time amazing and creepy because it would be coolheaded to have a distance built for thousands of people all to yourself , but you ’d have to wonder where everybody went . PhotographerBruce Wayne Berry Jr.wanted to look into the feelings call down by an empty metropolis while using effects to show what Philadelphia looks like through infrared filters .
The time lapse , titled “ The Day Wonderland Stood Still . . . ” , came out of a series of photos called “ Empty America Series ” by Ross Ching , and the infrared component was obviously inspired by Star Trek Into Darkness inthe scenewhere Kirk and Bones run through the red Niburu jungle . Berry did the infrared - manner coloring to look like he had shot on Kodak EIR film , on whichanything that reflects infrared light comes out deep bolshie and anything that absorbs infrared brightness level sour black . He really used a normal photographic camera and a yellowed filter .
