The 2d episode of Orphan Black ’s final season crossed a line even I did n’t expect , obliterate off a lover - favorite character in a cruel , sadistic , and fairly sexist way . I ’m still not sure how I find about it , but it is n’t good .
The episode , “ Clutch of Greed , ” brought us one of the first major clone dying in a while , with Ferdinand killing M.K. by repeatedly stomping on her bureau . It was a starkly violent picture , sodding with the auditory sensation of break down off-white , as Ferdinand used the demise to take out his sexual frustration against Rachel , since M.K. was disguised as her at the clock time to stress and aid Sarah and Kira .
In an interview withEntertainment Weekly , show creators Graeme Manson and John Fawcett said it made sense to have Ferdinand vote out M.K. because of their longstanding conflict . After all , he said : “ You anguish me , Rachel ! ” as he crushed M.K. ’s ribcage . It made M.K. ’s expiry more about him .
This makes me awkward , as it diddle into the figure of men using wildness , often against cleaning woman , to deal out with sexual frustration .
