Aks noticed her tweet and responded from theFyre Festival handle.
“Hi. It is me. Oren Aks. I’m actually the designer behind the festival. I’m happy to be here. Would love to make some cheese sandwiches with you@chrissyteigensometime,” he tweeted, referring to one of the few meal options at the April 2017 event.
While speaking withPEOPLE Now, Aks said the mom of two “left him hanging,” as he hasn’t heard back from Teigen yet.
“I’m still waiting on Chrissy,” Aks told hosts Jeremy Parsons and Andrea Boehlke. “I’m hoping we can make some cheese sandwiches soon. That’s a goal right now.”

Acks also admitted, “I actually ate that cheese sandwich at one point during the day.”
The graphic designer, who has since moved abroad, said he “never really expected” the level of celebrity fascination with Fyre Festival. Now that the public has embracedthe demiseof Fyre founderBilly McFarlandand Ja Rule’s vision, there are some people out there who want to make their own go at putting on a luxury music experience.
“I think there’s plenty of room in the market for a festival of this magnitude if done right,” Aks said. “And trust me, since this happened, I’ve gotten at least two dozen emails from people who think they will pull it off and want my help, which won’t happen.”
