The late Spirit featurette depict off Frank Miller ’s estimation of “ innovative noir ” which apparently consists of men in hats , onetime timey cars and sexily dressed gentlewoman . Yeah , basically Miller ’s erotic dream about Will Eisner ’s 1950s comedian . fortuitously , there ’s also a peek at some new Spirit bottom - kicking as well .
What I line up most interesting about this look is that The Spirit was predominately tear in green screen . So when the crew speak about detail they are literally talking about the hats and props . indisputable taking the practiced parts of each decade and shoving them into one magnanimous alternative society is pretty coolheaded , but what about a dash of color ? Come on a little blue , possibly some pinkish ? I ’m sure they had different colouring hats back in the day .
But I digress . Another interesting expression of this video is the slapstick scrap . Despite the extremely ram cesspool fighting scene I really did n’t mind gorgeous Gabriel Macht punching and swiping a bag from a stealer all in one swoop . I know that this movie is hypothecate to be “ wacky ” so if they can keep the silly slapstick fluid like what I just saw , there may be hope for it yet . The Spirit opens on December 25 .
