It ’s small , it ’s shooting inAugustand the first details — include a rough plot of ground description — have been revealed .
According toThe Hollywood Reporter , del Toro ’s next film is “ a mystic and magic journey ready against the backcloth of Cold War - era America circa 1963 with an otherworldly love write up at the center of it . ” He both wrote the script and will orchestrate .
The report card also revealed that Oscar - success Octavia Spencer is in talk for a lead role . She won that Oscar for The service , but she ’s also been genre tested in film like Snowpiercer and The Divergent Series , too .
We could stress and hypothesize what that logline means — but what would be the point ? Del Toro ’s picture , even when they are n’t capital , are original , uncanny and surprising . If he has a marvelous dear floor localise during the Cold War ? Bring it on .
