Unlike a lot of older Megazords — especially ones that can break down into the single mechs — the ZAP Megazord ’s sleekness come through in the surprising amount of articulation it has in its combined chassis . You ’re not run short to get screwball poses out of it like a dedicated figure of the Megazord could , given the nature of its constituent parts limiting how much you may do , but there ’s enough articulation points that are n’t so apparent when you expect at the individual Zords that you may get some fun action poses that accentuate the elephantine robot as a weighty ( it ’s all charge plate , so it ’s not too cumbersome ) savage , rather than being particularly calorie-free - on - its - prehistoric - beast - robot - infantry .
All that enunciate , not everything is perfect about the toy . The ability to combine the Zords is a pretty cumbersome chore , even with included instructions in the nervure of Hasbro ’s own Transformers guides . The sheer size of the Megazord , combined with some very pissed articulation point out of the box , leave you more often than not wondering if you might fall in something as you put it together — a trouble you do n’t want for something that costs $ 165 ( even then , I ’ve had a few issues of parts popping off if you look at them the wrong way , particularly Kimberly ’s Pterodactyl Zord on the chest ) . And even then , some of those articulatio gunpoint do n’t quite restrain up under the volume of the Zords , result to some perilous moment — particularly in the optional Tank conformation you’re able to combine the Zords in , which suck as much as it did in the show itself and as much as it has in past take on Megazord toys .
There ’s also the weird halfway point between offer something that feels exchange premium while also not quite premium enough .
