The Silicon Valley that HBO is concerned in is reportedly a sour , single - camera comedy direct by Mike Judge who , for the crtically unhip , was responsible for Beavis and Butthead , King of the Hill , Idiocracy and , of course , Office Space . write by Judge and partner John Altschuler and Dave Krinsky , the pilot “ is set in the eminent tech gold hurry of modern Silicon Valley , where the people most restricted to succeed are the least able of handle succeeder , ” according to Deadline . You ca n’t say that description does n’t sound promising .
