Sydney Sweeneyis sharing a mild injury she suffered onAnyone But You’s set.

Sweeney, 26, appeared onLive with Kelly and Markon Tuesday to promote her new romantic comedy, and in the process, she revealed that a huntsman’s spider featured in one scene of the film actually bit her.

“That was a real spider. It bit me. It was a huntsman,” Sweeney said afterLive with Kelly and Markplayed the scene in question and cohostKelly Ripaasked whether the spider was real.

“While we were filming that scene, it bit me. It hurt so bad, I had horrible, horrible marks on my hand,” she shared. “I had to take meds and everything. Because anything can kill you in Australia.”

Bea eventually pulls a large spider out of Ben’s pants and throws it to the ground as Ben rips off all his clothing to rid himself of any other spiders.

Sweeney also shared her spider-bite anecdote when she and Powell visited theTodayshow on Monday.

“The spider actually bit me in the middle of the scene, but nobody called cut because they thought I was just making a very dramatic, interesting choice in this scene,” she said, as the show aired actual footage from the moment the spider bit her.

“Glen was the only one who finally caught on — they thought I was acting but it actually bit me,” she said.

Spiders were not the only hazardAnyone But You’s cast and crew faced while filming in Australia earlier this year. The movie’s directorWill Gluckrecently shared withEntertainment Weeklythat one sequence in the film was knowingly shot in shark-infested waters in Sydney, the country’s largest city.

“It was a little bit scary and strange at three in the morning with our actors swimming into a shark tank, knowing that they’re at a place where sharks like to hang out," he added, describing tanks the production utilized to keep its actors safe as “floating buoys with a cage.”
